Fans celebrate 'The Marine Biologist' as a masterpiece of writing, praising George's metaphor about an angry sea, though some argue other episodes like 'The Shoes' and 'The Pen' are equally great.
The 'Marine Biologist' episode is simply hysterical. My memory of 'Master of your Domain' has been dimmed, and it was great, but I think 'MB' will prove to have the staying power. The ability of the writers to tie togethor so completely an absolutely hysterical plot is overwhelming.
The pinnacle for me was George's "The sea was angry that day my friends, angry like an old man in a deli trying to return soup."
Not since Mickey Spillane has someone used a metaphor so effectively.

It might be because I live in Arizona, but my favorite episode is THE PEN. The thought of Elaine rolling around on the hide-a-bed because of "the bar" still makes me laugh.
