George's Brother

About a year ago I read about a plan to introduce George's handsome and successful brother. The article mentioned that Ben Stiller was a candidate for the role. I guess because he's a hip young comic, and he already looks like his father.

I would hope that it's truly a funny character. I'd hate to see them stick a worthless character into the show just to capitalize on Stiller's popularity.

One of my objections was that it would be awkward when they suddenly mention this other Costanza, who they NEVER mentioned before! But then I saw an ep the other night (where George and Elaine go to a psychic) and GEORGE MENTIONS HIS BROTHER! I guess the groundwork is laid!

What do you think about a brother for George?

George also mentions his brother in the episode when George and Mike fight over a parking space: "My family doesn't pay for parking, my father doesn't pay, my BROTHER doesn't pay."

George's brother also can't pay for parking (see "The Parking Space).

George indeed made a passing reference to a hither to unseen brother. When he consults a psychic he mentions his broher oncw got a woman pregnent.
