Fake Names

Who can list everyones aliases? Here are all I know of:

There have to be more....

I know it's not really Elaine's alias per se, but neither is Art Van de Lay George's alias (ok English teachers feel free to shoot me for the wording on that, I'm just running on).

Van Nostrand, actually.

I'm assuming it has something to do with the Van Nostrand Archives, one of the companies that provided pictures for some of the Seinfeld books, most notably Greg Gattuso's "Seinfeld Universe".

Seinfeld Universe is unauthorized by Jerry Seinfeld, so I doubt it. Donny

Dr. Van Nostrand is the correct spelling. There's a Van Nostrand Avenue in Queens, NY and I think they got it from that.

I just watched the show.Kramer mentioned Bob Sacamano in the hospital. Said he went in for a hernia but it got screwed up. He talked him into going to a holistic healer named,Tor Eckman(sp). I don't think that we ever saw Bob in any show. If someone can find out I'd like to know.

One of Kramer's fake names was Dr. van Nostrum. But . . .

The "Doctor (or Professor) title Kramer uses is fake since he isn't a real doctor or professor.

"Von" suggests status or position. "Van" is a bastardization of "von"; another fake.

A "Nostrum" is a medication recommended by its preparer but without scientific proof of its effectiveness. A questionable or fake medicine.

Thus Kramer's name means Fake-Fake-Fake. Something only the writers of Seinfeld would dream up.
