Curiosity turning into obsession

OK, ok. So someone asked about the religious identities of some of the people on the show, most notably George. A few of us responded based on our observations and episode facts. However, I think it's getting just a little out of hand. Just when the thread is about to disappear from the list, someone picks it up who hadn't been reading in a while. By that time, the one message that "said it all" is already gone. Then some of those who responded earlier jump in to follow-up. The cycle starts all over again. That's why I left it out of the subject heading <g>.

George Constanza, the character, is NOT Jewish. Jason Alexander, the actor portraying George, IS Jewish.

Do we have a concensus?

In the 2-part program, where Jerry and George travel to Hollywood to find Kramer, George asks if he can get a kosher meal (on the plane). Why would a non-Jew want a kosher meal -- not that there's anything wrong with it .....

Personally, I don't understand this obsession with their characters' religions, I just enjoy the show. Cheers, Steve
