First, his business card was seen briefly in one episode and it read: "Dr. R. Quincy."

Second, Universal Studios is currently producing "Quincy, M.E." for the 'big screen', and it should be released some time this summer. Some interesting notes about the upcoming movie:

* Robert Ito returns as intrepid lab assistant Sam Fujiyama. ("All these years and Sam's never been promoted," Klugman chuckles.)

* Tony Randall makes a surprise cameo. ("He's one of the bodies," a source close to the production says.)

* Audiences finally learn what Quincy's first name is. ("I can tell you this much," the always coy Klugman says. "It ain't Cosmo!")

MEEEP - Home Improvement's Wilsons full name is "Wilson Wilson"

I always thought Quincy had three names...his first name, Quincy, his middle name, M. (it must sand for something...Milhouse?) and his last name initial E. (that must stand for something too...)

Oh, I can think of someone on TV who had one name...from the '70s sitcom Soap, there was a guy named Dutch...that's all we knew, and it was most likely his first name...even when he married Eunice on the show, they never mentioned his last name, they just kept calling her by her maden name...Tate...

Wow, that even has a Seinfeld link to it, the show Soap I mean...remember Gordan Jump as George's boss at Play Now, well he did a number of episodes in the first season of Soap...he was Pice Of Cholief Tinkler...uh, Chief Of Police that is...

Actually, thanks for the memories ,I was a teenager when Soap was on the air and in those days that show was it ... at least for me anyway. I remember Gordon Jump more for WKRP but I also recall him as Tinkler in the first season of Soap. Those were the days when Robert Guillaume was really funny, before he wound up having his own show that is. Wasn't Benson a single name character?

I think Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby all had single names.
