Janeane Garofalo's character will be written out quickly next season.
Fans debate whether Janeane Garofalo's character should remain on the show, with most hoping she stays but skeptics predicting her quick departure due to her film career.
For those who don't know who she is, she's Jerry's new fiance.
Yes, her sardonic and deadpan delivery could have been used better than it was, but the question is does she fit well enough with the existing cast to get a regular or semi-regular (a la Susan) role?

Janeane Garafolo is hilarious and her sarcastic wit makes her a perfect addition to the show. I'd like to see her stay for at least three or four shows at the start of the new season, if not for most of the season. I hope the writers don't get rid of her in one show with some quick fix. That would be a waste of a great talent (and besides she's a real cutie too :) ).
BTW I think killing off Susan was a bad move. There was a great avenue for future shows with a married George. It would be like the show growing up with its audience in a way, but if next season is indeed the last then they needn't worry about that.

I love Janeane (she was great on "Seinfeld" and she also was on Leno the other night), but I don't think an ensemble comedy series is her speed. She works best in tiny roles like on "Larry Sanders", but to mesh with other players? Who remembers her ill-fated stint on "Saturday Night Live"?
Besides which, due to the success of "The Truth About Cats And Dogs" her rates should be going up considerably to the point where she becomes a Doesn't Do TV type.

I definately think she should stay. I was live in the audience once of Greg Kinear, and she was one of the guests. That was the first I had ever seen or heard of her and I was really impressed. My vote is to STAY!!

I'd really like to see Janeane on Seinfeld at least once or twice. She really made a lot of new fans among Seinviewers. Trouble is that Janeane is a really hot property since "The Truth About Cats and Dogs", and I don't know if she will be available much.

She should go. The show's equilibrium would be thrown off with the addition of a fifth full-time character. (And if she marries Jerry, the only reason to keep her on the show, she would be considered a full-time character)

I hope she goes in tthe first episode. It's not that I don't like her, it's just the fact that this wedding crap has gone on long enough. I hope Jerry asks for George's help in getting rid of her and they end up killing her.

she's too wellknown. i'd rather jerry meet someone obscure. showbiz matchups rarely work in real life (egos, always away, meet during a passionate movie and get married and passion goes away after filming over etc). no, baboo must seek revenge. jerry is a very bad man!

go Janeane go, there's got to be a better role for you somewhere else, I kind of hope her character has an really cruel death, oh I don't know like being eaten by tigers or something. But have it done with by the time they get back in the fall. She should be talked about in past tense
It would be kinda ironic if she were hit by a car while crossing the street with Jerry - especially since she met him after she stopped him from walking into traffic...
