Was Russell ever found?

I know Russell went to work for Greenpeace after Elaine jilted him and he supposedly drowned or something like that. But after that, there was no mention of him at all.

I thought Seinfeld might bring him back or something but they never did. I have seen quite a few of the syndication shows and the season shows but I don't recall Russell ever being mentioned again.

Was he mentioned? Perhaps I just missed it.
