What's with the FLUCTUATION of Elaine's hair-length?

First episode of new season she has long curly hair. Second episode she has it lopped off for end scene. Third episode her hair is longer but curly again. Every episode from then on, she has the same hair she did in the first episode. Why are these new first-run episodes out-of-order?
