I am big Seinfeld geek but one thing that I have never been able to figure out is why Joe Devola was seeking revenge on Jerry. I know that it had to do with NBC but don't recall ever seeing the details.

Can anyone help?

He's paranoid and thinks that Jerry put the "kibosh" on his possible script deal with NBC.
