I am joining your newsgroup and would like to introduce myself. My name is Shell and my goal is to post to this ng in hopes to a) entertain myself, b) entertain the ng, and c) glean information.
I Googled your ng to see what you're about and I enjoyed what I read.
I must let you know that I can go off-topic every now and then. I have a brazen sense of humor and an enthusiastic and healthy appetite for Seinfeld trivia, though I am not knowledgable in the episodic nomenclature aspect. I just have an appreciation on the level of a devoted couch potato to date and nothing more. I hope one day to use my printing store to create an unofficial Seinfeld Trivial Pursuit game, hence goal (c), above.
I saw Jerry's stand-up act back in 1986 when I lived in North Carolina. He wore black jeans and a monotone long-sleeve button down shirt, much like on the show, held a microphone and stood in front of a fake brick wall. Even then I knew he was going places, though my husband told me I thought that because I was hopped up on three Long Island Iced Teas. Jerry was great then and I have been a fan ever since.
Every day I witness what I call "Seinfeld Moments." I enjoy them, though not to the point that my undercarriage gets warm. My teenage son and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Seinfeld on DVD and are in hopes that we'll be able to enjoy it by the end of 2004.
I was in New York last May and missed the Kramer Reality Tour by one week and that was the low-point of 2003 for me. I did, however, obtain "The Art of Seduction" and it is now hanging, with pride mind you, in my boudoire. This was the high-point of 2003 for me.
