Fans discuss whether Jerry's apartment set was preserved after the series ended, with mentions of prop theft and Jerry's decision not to donate it to the Smithsonian.

Does anyone know if any part of Jerry's apartment has been kept intact, perhaps for studio tours? I seem to remember when the series ended that there was a fracas about some staffers stealing some of the props (e.g. Jerry's door). I'm sure the key players chose some significant souvenirs. Just wondering...
