my hot water takes forever to heat up. a friend suggested that i turn the water on, go out and do ALL my shopping, and then come back and take a shower.

i did.

wanna guess where i went while waiting for the shower to heat up?

I had that same problem with hot water. I accessed the hot water heater and cranked it up a little. The setting was between "warm" and "hot", and I turned it closer to "hot" and the problem was solved.

You know that I never understood... Why does it take so long for the hot water to heat up? Doesn't make sense. I turn on my shower facuet and in 2 seconds it's hot!

I live in Florida, where it's never cold. Is this because of the cold, New York weather?

Your shower must be near your water heater. What I was told was, the closer you are to your water heater, the quicker you get warm water. I'm surprised Jerry didn't tackle this in any of his episodes.
