Lack of music

In the UK, we've just seen the episode of Elaine's dancing for the first time. Which made me think about the lack of enthusiasm for any kind of music amongst the gang. Movies seem to be a constant recurring theme but apart from the saxophonist date of Elaine's, I can't recall music playing much of a part. Any ideas about what kind of stuff the characters might be into ?

You're right, there isn't much music in the show. Does Jerry even have a stereo? Has he ever used it?

He had one, but Kramer destroyed it and tried sending it through the mail to collect the insurance on it.

Paglacci (sp?) Rochelle, Rochelle ("it's been a long way from Milan to Minsk...") Desperado -- The Eagles (Elaine's boyfriend wouldn't "share" his song with her) also Witchy Woman -- The Eagles (paramedic in ambulance who becomes enraptured by this Eagles tune in the same episode)

I believe that has to do with the lack of interesting current popular music. Also, these guys are in their mid-to late thirties and I don't think the writers want to use music to date them.

Well if you're talking about the actors, they're in their 40s. Michael Richards is 48 and Seinfeld is 43 or 44. The others I'm not too sure about.
