5/8 Episode was terrible!

Wow. I've actually liked a lot of the episodes this season, but this episode was REALLY awful.

Did anyone out there actually like it? Was this the season finale? If it was, Seinfeld is closing out this season with a whimper.

Kramer's "Kenny Kramer" parody was lame. The humor was forced. The physical comedy (which i usually love) got old pretty fast. Jerry's plotline could've been funny but was underdeveloped. The muffin-top story was poor. Even George's bit was kinda tired, it was pretty much the same premise as the episode where George dates the prison inmate.

Any thoughts?

I didn't think it was TERRIBLE -- just okay. This is only one of two episodes this season that haven't made me nearly die from laughter. I think I laughed three times (the one I remember is when Kramer barges in on Jerry in the shower and he shouts, "I don't want to live like this!"). The "Cleaner" thing was great and the Reality Tour was a good idea (I wonder what Kenny Kramer thought of that bit), but the rest was pretty lame, especially George's "plotline".

I disagree... it's bottom-of-the-barrel time again... Kramer was completely useless.

Excuse me.  That was not an insult.  Some people prefer the reruns.  That's
what VCRs are for.  While I enjoy the older episodes as much as the next guy,
when you can recite the lines, word for word, along with the characters
on screen, then there must be something more.  I enjoy the new episodes
primarily because I don't know what's about to happen next.   I'm sure I'm not
the only one who appreciates every new nugget of Seinfeld they see fit to
dole out to us each week.   Again, reread my post.  It was not an insult in any way.

So you would deprive the rest of us who actually found the episode great of Seinfeld. You can't compare it to Willie Mays or any athlete for that matter. While you can measure a person's athletic decline with absolute numbers it is impossible to do that with something as esoteric as comedy. How about just changing the channel instead?

It is very sad that it has fallen this far. I never thought the Kramer character would not be funny but 5/8 he wasn't.

I really can't believe that so many people thought that the episode was horrible. I thought it was really very funny. I loved how the show was making fun of the idiots that acutally go on the kramer reality tour. Kramer driving the bus was great and when the showed the people in the bus asking about their coffecakepizza i was cracking up. The muffin thing might not have been that great but I don't think that this was a horrible episode.

Gee, maybe if I'd actually been on Kenny Kramer's Reality Tour I would have laughed too. Are they pawning off inside jokes on us now?

We are nearing the Saturday Night Live level, folks. George was obvious and weak, Elaine was dead on arrival (Note to writers: any time you feel the need to insert a montage sequence, START OVER) and Kramer completed his Robin Williams-like journey from funny to insipid.

After "Yadda Yadda" I thought we had something going. Guess not. Time to FOLD UP THE TENTS!

I thought this was actually one of the better episodes this season - for the first time all year I actually burst out laughing (when Kramer tells Jerry not to tell anyone about shaving his chest, and then blurts out to George "Jerry shaved his chest!")

This was hardly a classic, but tolerable - much better than a lot of the others so far.

I'm ashamed to share your name. I enjoyed it immensely. Alfter it ended, I decided to forego the Hawks-Bulls game and rewinded and watched it a second time. So much funnier the second time!!

I really don't agree. Having taken Kenny Kramer's "Reality Tour" I thought the parody was OUTRAGEOUSLY FUNNY. I was in pain laughing. I didn't think they could come up with material that fresh and funny!
