and, hold onto your hats and get ready for this little ditty... his name in the movie was only mentioned once or twice, and I rewound and played this sucker at least 4 or 5 times to make sure, but, Kevin Costner distinctly refers to him in the movie as:

NEWMAN!!!!!!
