I loved it when Jerry stole the mean old lady's rye ("Give it to me, you old bag!") This persistently infantile strain in Jerry's character is hilarious and almost unique on prime-time. As has been pointed out, one of the great joys of this show is watching what jerks our hero's can be. It was also interesting to see Susan's parents again. They didn't break up even after the John Cheever revelations. And on syndication last night, they showed the wheelchair episode, and they had re-shot the scenes with George's father. The first actor that played him was the veteran John Randolph (this is the version I've got on tape). Last night it was Jerry Stiller, of course, and much funnier. I wonder if they have re-shot other scenes for syndication?
