All right, this episode had to bring me out of retirement. I had heard something somewhere about the episode being backwards, and when I heard this I figured it was going to be a bit silly. But I was very pleased to find it, in my opinion, the best episode this season (although I missed the last 2) and I believe that it will become one of my classics. Starting at the end ... Jerry and Kramer first meeting. That was one of the greatest scenes I have ever seen on the show. The way their hair was done to make them look like that very first episode was great. Kramer looking around and then asking .... "really?" was classic. That's what started it all. Seeing Susan back was great too, and to find out that's where George got his "you can stuff your sorrys in a sack, mister!" from. Throughout the episode I noticed that they got back to more of the subtle humor that we all know and love. The second time we hear George tell Jerry to sack his sorrys, Jerry gets that sad/confused look on his face ... "I don't know what that means ..." I didn't see too many overly-forced gags as there have been for the first part of the season so far. When George says that birthdays are depressing because you're looking around at all these people in your house and thinking, "these are my friends?" and Jerry says "everday is my birthday," that was one of these gags, but I still liked it. I'm a die hard fan of the show, always have been and always will be. I'll watch the show no matter how 'bad' some think it will get. I find it interesting that so many people like to critisize the show, but isn't it like looking a gift horse in the mouth? We're getting this show for free (basically) and there are people who are saying that's not good enough? People have to realize that while the writers and even Jerry are doing what they can to make sure that we enjoy the show, everything is about money. If the show is good, people watch it, which means we see the commericals that are on. The commercials are what is paying NBC to put on Seinfeld. No one watches the show, the big name commercial guys don't want to be on during that half hour, NBC looses money. Don't start thinking that the execs at NBC are doing anything for us. They're just giving us a great show so that Mazda will give them great amounts of money. In case you're wondering where the quotes went, it's for much the same reason as above. Someone commented that I was slipping, that one of my quotes wasn't up to par with the rest. They were coming to him completey free but it just wasn't good enough. After that I sort of lost the will to do it anymore. And there were so many more to write too ...
