Number of Episodes

Thank you very much Entertainment Weekly (sarcastically) for adding still a fourth episode count into the already confusing mix. We now have, as of the end of season 8, either 148, 154, 155, or 156 episodes. Here is how each is correct in its own way: 148 - counting all one hour shows as one; 154 - counting all one hour shows as two, but ignoring the existence of "Highlights of a Hundred"; 155 - same but counting the one hour "Highlights of a Hundred" as one episode; and 156 - counting "H. of a H." as two episodes.

As far as I know, EW is by themselves with the 148, 154 agrees with Dennis K's internet list, 155 agrees with Sogaard's internet list, and 156 seems to agree with Jerry Seinfeld himself and Sony. WHICH IS IT???

It's 154. I don't count the highlights episode, and the hour-long episodes count as 2 each because they were aired over 2-Thursday periods. Maybe if they were shown in their entirety (like from 9:00 to 10:00 on a Thursday), you could make a case for them being single episodes.

I'm personally holding with Entertainment Weekly...they really researched the show a bit, talking to Larry David and Tom Cherones and everyone. You'd think they double-checked their 411 with those guys.
