The standup part

Did the early seasons all start and end with the Jerry standup? And middle seasons only start with the standup? Or what?

Maybe this question was not taken seriously by the Seinfeld fans (experts) here. I'm a "new" Seinfeld fan. I missed the series when it ran on NBC. I'm just curious how the format evolved from the open and close Jerry standup to the open standup only and finally to no Jerry standup. I'm seeing a bunch of 91 and 94 episodes now. Thanks for the answer.
