one more, I remember a scene where George asks someone "do you follow sports?" and he says no... they they show Jerry watching a football game and the announcer says "You gotta love sports!". What ep was this in?

Yep, from Season 7 that one. Probably called The Secret Code, where George ends up getting stuck with J. Peterman and the famous ATM card scene (plus the bosco one where Petermans mother dies).
