How many Tonight Show (or similar shows) stand-up appearances did Seinfeld make? Which ones are on the Seasons 1-4 DVDs.

Recently I saw his 2001 Tonight Show appearance on the Comedian DVD.

Did Seinfeld use a lot of old material in I'm Telling You for the Last Time like someone claimed? I'm not familiar with his TV appearance (other than Seinfeld).

It was the retiring of his old material, so yes it was all old. After that he took a break from stand-up and came back with all new material and that process can be seen in The Comedian.

Oh, I thought he meant he was retiring from stand-up comedy (at least from non-cameo TV specials) just as he retired from his Seinfeld show. Was there anything new on that special that he didn't say before on TV? I haven't seen his old Tonight Show appearances (except for the 2001 one).

Dozens. He was a regular on Carson and Letterman long before Seinfeld came out.
