No, not a new one, it's a repeat. One of the better ones? Not IMHO. Still, pretty funny, but not what I would consider "Vintage Seinfeld". Here's how it appears in Bob's episode guide :

After seeing that the "lost episode" NBC was referring to was from the end of the second season, I kind of thought the "lost" label was a bit much, and misleading. Especially when you consider that "The Stock Tip" from Season One has only been shown once (6/21/90), and before any Seinfeld faithful I know began taping all the shows. I've seen it, but that was over two years ago...

Nope. The pilot aired July 5, 1989, and the first season went from May-July of 1990. Check out Bob's episode guide - it's all there. He posted it to this group on the first day it was created.
Like I said, there are a number of people who haven't seen the early one's from Season One (which I consider more "lost" than the shows from Season Two).

Well, I've been having a lot of trouble getting to anything related to Seinfeld. First I lose access to the seinfeld mailing list, then I run into trouble posting to the net.
As Kevin has mentioned, I've posted the episode guide and I know he re-posted it yesterday. (Thanks! Kevin) Since it is a long post, and this is an alt group, perhaps that may explain why some have not received it. An older version is also available via ftp at 192.31.215.240. I think this is from April 7. I will update it at that site shortly. If it still hasn't shown up at your site, send me email and I'll send out a copy.
Speaking of the episode guide, I don't have the official names for the 4/22/92 and the 5/6/92 episodes. If anyone knows the titles, I'll incorporate it. I think the 5/6 episode is 'The Keys', but I can't confirm it.

I thought one of the best episodes was the one where the library was after Jerry for not returning a book. Kramer gets the librarian, the "book detective" gives Jerry that long speech, and George has the dreams about his old coach, that he thinks is now a bum outside the library, giving him grundies in high school. BTW: Who was that book detective? Didn't he look familiar?
Initially Kramer wanted nothing to do with the library then when he got there, I think he asked, as he as attempting to hit on the librarian babe, "So how does one get a library card around here?"
That was a great episode!
