Air conditioning

Does there appear to be an extraordinary emphasis (or number of references) to air conditioning on the show? I can think of several (quite a few, actually) episodes where the act of adjusting, purchasing, or abusing an air conditioner was spotlighted.

Also, when they lost the car in the mall parking lot, George had just bought an ac, and Kramer was carrying it around...but that's all I remember.... --I'm not Lamonte at all...

I haven't been watching that long, but on one of the recent shows (a rerun I think), the air conditioner fell out of the window and hit [Fat Guy who was in Jurassic Park]. It was the same episode where Elaine's organizer got thrown out of the limo and hit some old lady.

Well, not exactly. It was Kramer's shoe that fell out of the window and hit Newman, and the lady that was hit by Elaine's organizer wasn't old. The conditioner fell out of Jerry's window in an earlier episode, and landed on the dog that had bit Elaine.

Wait a minute - I thought the episode where the air conditioner fell out of the window was the episode where George buys women's glasses. I'm pretty sure this was it, because I remember Jerry got the AC to please his girlfriend, whom George (thought he) saw her kissing Jerry's cousin (when he was SQUINTING! :-)), and the AC fell on the dog that bit Elaine at the optician's, whom George was at because Kramer could get him a discount like he got Jerry the AC at a discount because Kramer got the optician off sugar (ladies and gentlemen, the world's longest run-on sentence)...see, it all fits eventually!

BTW, Fat Guy's name is Wayne Knight, who plays Newman on the show.

Yes, there ARE a number of episodes which have to do with Air Conditioning. I think they have a thing for it!!

When Jerry and Elaine went to see Jerry's parents in Florida, the condo was really hot and Elaine kept begging Mr/Mrs Seinfeld to turn on the Air Condition-er.

In the parking garage episode Kramer is carrying around an air conditioner and trying to find his car. (Doesn't he stash it behind a parked car because it is so heavy?)

Kramer suggests to Newman that he can beat a speeding ticket by saying he was rushing to save a suicidal friend. The friend is to be suicidal because he never owned an air conditioner.

These are the only ones I can think of other than the episode CALLED "The Air Conditioner".

Well, Kramer suggested both to Newman... the first suggestion was pertaining to the air conditioning. "Well, I've slept in REALLY hot rooms, and I WANTED to kill myself." The second was the banker story.

He's simply referring to the one where Kramer gets Jerry the 30% discount on the Commando-8 12,000BTU (British Thermal Units) air conditioner... and then he tells George that Dwayne down at the optical store can get him 30% off of some new glasses. As you can see, I've never watched this one before. :^)

Yeah, it was the banker story that they actually used in court, but when they're sitting outside, Kramer's first story was to say that he was going to commit suicide because he doesn't have an air conditioner. They later agree on the banker story.
