what was funny about this conversation:
K-man's boss: I'm afraid we must part ways (paraphrasing) K-man: But I don't even work here K-man's boss: That's what makes it so difficult
What's so difficult? What's "funny" about that? Just the situational grin?
Am I insane?
I thought it was funny. We've assumed the boss believes Kramer really works there; when the boss reveals he knows the truth, it's unexpected and funny. That they'd turn away someone willing to work for free is what makes the boss's actions so "difficult", and so amusing.

What I always thought it meant was this: Kramer says he doesn't even really work here, and the boss says that's what makes this so difficult. But I always thought he meant it as if Kramer's not doing what he's supposed to do. Like he thought Kramer meant that he was slacking off.
