Different lighting in early eps.

Is it just me, or did all the characters in the first few seasons of Seinfeld seem to have very pink skin? They must have adjusted the lighting on the set at some point in the series to make the actors appear to have a more neutral skintone.

keep in mind the time period changes as well...

sure the lights prolly changes from (i'm not an electrician) but from whatever they had in the early eps to florescent(which gives a much more real color)

also the way it was filmed changed over time..newer cameras....early eps the show didn't have much money...u'll notice from 5 to 6 there is the most change because i'm sure of money....also if you remember in the show the jerry and george signed for 5 seaons for like no money.... i'm sure season 6 came around and the renegociations resulted in more money for the cast/crew and more for better equipment

I'm guessing it might be something more to do with differing film stock or video transfer method than lighting. That has much more influence over skin tone. Maybe they weren't as careful about preserving the earlier episodes, as they didn't know it would make it to syndication.
