What floor Jerry lives on..

Okay, a couple of weeks ago someone was wondering what floor Jerry lives on.. I was just going through my Seinfeld tapes, and in the 5th episode (the stock tip) Kramer is looking at a woman through Jerry's window that is at the bus stop. Kramer says something like, "Oh thats for me" and Jerry says "Yeah and you are just what she's looking for too..Stranger learing through a window from 10 floors up"

Doesn't it say 5A on his door?

It does say 5A on his door. I think that when Jerry said that "10 floors up" line, he was exaggerating for the comedy.

Since Kramer lives directly across the hall from Jerry, and he was so disturbed by the lighted sign from the Kenny Rogers chicken place, I can't believe he's on a very high floor. (Unless the zoning laws allow small restaurants to have huge signs.) Did the chicken episode show an exterior of the banner Kramer hung out his window? If so, you should be able to tell which floor they're on from that.

It's the fifth floor. Jerry lives in 5A, Kramer is in 5B and Newman is in 5E

Hmmm, but what about the trees we can see? Are there actually trees that go ten floors up? It must (!) be the fifth floor.
