What about WINGS?

What do most of you SEINFELD folks think of WINGS?

Wings?

One of those 'gang' sitcoms that has an occassional flash of brilliance (about one line per night).

Predictible plot lines.

Boring frat boy brother characters would be truly annoying, but they're really cute, so that's a mitigating factor.

Crystal Bernard is fun, simply because she was in Making A Living.

All in all, it's perfect downtime to catch up on department gossip since we can't talk during Simpsons or Seinfeld.

In its first few seasons, Wings was a lot funnier and sort of fit with the New England-gang-that-hangs-out-at-same-old-place comedy style when it came on back to back with Cheers. Now I think it's just o.k., but I'm mostly fond of the brothers, not particularly keen on any of the other characters.

Mad About You is just o.k. I like Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt, hate the sister and friends. But this season they've added a funny waitress and Steven Wright occasionally appears.

Frasier is pretty good. I've always like him (favorite from Cheers) and like his family. The people he works with are underdeveloped as characters.

Wings + Mad About You + Seinfeld + Frasier = Best Night on TV

Wings is often compared to Cheers... wrong! It is in my opinion, a TAXI remake. There appears to be almost a 1-1 character correlation.

(I'll try to relate, but I can't remember all the names, much less how to spell them)

Can't compare Seinfeld to anything which has gone before.
