re: too many storylines (in "the non-fat yogurt")
The article in "Time" indicated that the show (read Larry David) likes to have all the characters represented in storylines in each show. So, the non-fat yogurt story line focused on Elaine and Jerry (minimally on Kramer) and hardly at all on George. So, they added the storylines to include more george and kramer.
At least, that's how I interpreted the article.

That's how i saw it too and that's probably one of the problems of the show. I don't know if they've been doing that since the beginning of the shows, but forcing the story so that all the characters have equal time doesnt work. It seems that lately they've been concentrating on the four caracters instead of the stories.
