Elaine and Newman

Okay, I have a question for you HUGE Seinfeld buffs. I know that George is based on Larry David, and that Kramer is based on Kenny Kramer, but are Elaine & Newman based on any real life people? On Kenny Kramers homepage there is a picture of the "real Elaine" but, I have never heard of any references to The REAL one? THis is really bothering me....thanks in advance for an answer. :)

Hmm, I dont' know about Elaine, but the mailman is actually pretty close to several mailmen we've had around here. Our current guy dwarfs Newman in size, is equally caught up in the importance of his job but quick to take those "personal" days, speaks often of all the "things" he can do for us if we are in need (you know, like stealing a dog, destroying muffin evidence), and well, yada yada yada.

So perhaps the Newman character/casting has something to do with real life experience..
