Why does everyone hate the 8th season?

I found last season very enjoyable! How can you say that "The Little Kicks", "The Bizarro Jerry", and "The Chicken Roasters" are not funny? Last season had some classics in it IMHO.-Rebecca

Also the one where Jerry has to wear the glasses to fool Kramer's friend (When Kramer was helping to restore the old theatre). Elaine lost her button and flashed people on the street and Kramer ate the old weiner to prove that his friend was not crazy. I thought that was one of the best episodes ever!

I don't hate the 8th season. I like Seinfeld and to me the 8th season may not be Seinfeld's best season (the 7th) but it's certainly proves Seinfeld is still one the most funniest sitcoms on television and better than any of the replacements many people are saying should take over Seinfeld's 9 o'clock spot, when it leaves the air.

The eighth season is my second favorite, right behind season 4. It's the season that converted me! I never really *tried* to watch Seinfeld before, but I started watching the new ones in season 8 that I loved them, and started meticulously watching the re-runs as well.

My *favorite* from season 8? "The checks" (dumb name I think) in which Kramer has the Japanese tourists staying with him, and Jerry ends up trying to get them out with an ax. All the story lines tied together in such clever ways. When my husband and I saw this one, we looked at each other and said, "This is the BEST show on TV."
