Well, according to the Penthouse letter being read at the end of the show, it was all a joke that the dentist and his assistant was playing on the patients. Of course, if he had written a letter in the magazine *admitting* that sex was really involved, and since he keeps the magazine in his waiting room for his patients to look at, he soon would have had several lawsuits on his hands.

Ok, was it just a wierd joke scene, or did the dentist really get high on the nitrous with Jerry and then have sex with his assistant??
i thought it was one of the most peculiar seinfeld jokes...but i think that's what happened.
