I was reading the NY Times article on the last taping of Seinfeld and I misread the phrase "the enormously successful sitcom" as "the erroneously successful sitcom".
I sat there for about five seconds wondering why the writer would have said "erroneously successful sitcom" until I realized the error of my way.
I kind of wish the writer had said "erroneously" now.
Here's some else stupid I read on another newsgroup. It seems there was a chess tournament being held at a hotel and the players were all out in the hallway bragging about how well they were doing and the hotel manager came out and told them to quiet down because he did not like seeing "chess men boasting in an open foyer".
