that's a good question, and believe it or not, i actually have the answer :) Kal Varnsen was the name Jerry used quite awhile back in the episode where George was on social assistance, and he used Jerry's appartment as the Latex manufacturing company that he had applied to work at. Vandeley Industries was the company. Anyways, Jerry was supposed to answer his phone as "Vandeley Industries" and when he did, he used the name "Kal Varnsen" as the person who was speaking. I think that's the only episode that Jerry used a fake name though.

I think Jerry used that name (Kel Varnsen) once before when he answered the phone. He was pretending to be the owner of a latex factory for George (Art Vandelay: Latex salesman) to help him collect unemployment. But it turned out to be Keith Hernandez on the phone...

In the episode where George tells the woman at the unemployment office that he tried getting a job at Vandeley Industries, as their latex salesman, he RUNS to Jerry's apartment right afterwards and tells/begs him to answer the phone, "Vandeley Industries", because he had given Jerry's phone number to the unemployment-office woman. When the phone rings, Jerry answers the phone, "Vandeley Industries..... Kel Varnsen speaking.... how may we help you?" (or something like that).
Jerry may have used that name in other episodes, as well, but this one is the only one I know about.
And what a great diss of Tufts!! "It was my SAFETY school!!" For a character like Elaine who went to the finest prep schools, where all the kids aspire to Ivy League schools, this is soooooo perfect.

I didn't see anything that was derogatory to Puerto Ricans, or Hispanics. The episode wasn't as funny as I might have expected for the second to last show ever. Here's what I did like:
1. H.A. Pennypacker...Kramer was supposed to have had a pair of yellow glasses for this but they got lost which infuriated real-life perfectionist Jerry Seinfeld. 2. Art Vandelay again. 3. Bob and Cedric 4. Kramer's MAMA!!!! 5. George's Movie Theatre schtick...I was temtped to yell that's gotta hurt at Deep Impact last night...but thought better of it.
