Fax machines...

Okay, this has been bothering me all weekend...

In "The Checks" Elaine makes a comment, she tells her boyfriend, the "Desperado" guy that Jerry doesn't have a fax machine, and she says it with a sort of ashamed tone in her voice...like "How am I friends with someone so not into technology, I mean he doesn't have a fax machine!"

Yet, as we learn in (I have totally forgotten this episodes name, but I think it was from season 9) she herself does not have a fax machine...that's why when Kramer has something faxed to her house (something big!) she has to change her phone number...if she doesn't have a fax machine herself, then how could she be ashamed of having a friend who doesn't either?

JERRY: And a dead bolt.

KRAMER (to Elaine) Are ya sure you don't have one? Because there's a lot of stuff in my apartment I've never seen.

ELAINE: Then maybe YOU have a fax machine.

KRAMER: You just blew my mind.
