"The Opposite" and George

I've just seen "The Opposite" again, and I loved the way George attracted the woman in the coffee shop, but one of the great moments has to be how George was hired by the Yankees. George fires a barrage of insults at Steinbrenner who replies: "Hire this man!" Great stuff.

Just a question: I think scenes like this prove that in my opinion George is the funniest of the foursome. Why is it then that in the opening credits, we see...and starring Jason Alexander as George.

Is Jason Alexander not one of the main characters? Please, I feel this is a huge injustice! :-)

Actually, it is considered a good thing when they are introduced in the opening credits that way, it is usually written into their contract that they will be introduced in the credits this way. It usually means they are the "second star" per say right behind the actual star who is of course Jerry Seinfeld. Jason alexander probably had a good agent who contracted first to be introduced this way before Julia Louis Dreyfuss and Michale Richards had a chance.

I think I heard somewhere that Jason was introduced in the credits that way because he was supposed to be one of the things to draw attention to the show; he had won a Tony award that year that the pilot ran and was starting to attract a lot of attention.

At times it seemed that they in fact used George more than Jerry, or any of the other characters, I don't know if this was a good thing, they could have toned down the usage of George and slightly increased the Newman character towards the end. Donny
