About Justin

The problem that people have with Justin and his ilk is NOT *not* _not_ that he doesn't think the new shows are as good as the old ones.

The problem people have with such PODS is that they *insist* that they are right and the rest of us are just stupid. In my first two weeks in this group, all I saw from Justin was short snippets saying how horrible the new shows were and how we were all stupid for liking them. Then I killfiled him.

So......I think most of us here would be happy to have discussion about the quality of shows....no matter whether we think the show is going a bit downhill or not. The key word here is *discussion*! We talk about various points,present arguments, give details. It's a give and take that we all enjoy.

What we do NOT want is someone handing us THE VERDICT on Seinfeld and declaring the rest of us incompetent is we don't agree exactly.

SO......stop trying to make Justin out to be some hero. You can HATE the new episodes and still think he is a jerk. That is because you want to discuss the shows, not blindly accept someone else's opinion on the matter.

No more ultimatums, OK? No more "agree with me or you're an ass", OK?

If we follow these guidelines, we can still vehemently disagree *and* enjoy this newsgroup.

Here's what I propose. PLEASE!?! stop posting followups to, letters to, or requests about Justin Tribble in *any* way, shape or form. He is some high school kid who aparently gets a kick out of posting how everyone in this group is a moron and not a POD (apparently he said we belong to some feces pile I think). Then, after school, he logs on and gets a kick out of all the attention we are paying to him and all the replies that concern his posts.

I keep up with other tv related newsgroups and they all have their trolls, something not confined to this singular newsgroup, however here we seem to get about 4x the replies to these outrageous posts as other groups.

If you just killfile him, you won't have to read his posts, and then by not replying I won't accidentally read the quoted text of his, which gets around my killfile.

Furthermore, in response to people who say the newsgroup would be boring without people saying they hated (not disliked, I can tolerate that) the shows, how about we try it for a year, and I'll let you know how it goes. I claim we would all live in peace with quotes of the day (thanks rob), trivia and other fun seinfeld-lovin' posts.

This is my last post ever on the topic of Justin Tribble, in any way. In my mind, he no longer exists... If I ever post anything about him or a followup to one of his posts again, I'll send $10 to the first person who calls me on it, just as punishment for my stupid post. Obviously I don't think it's going to happen.

P.S. Note to Tribble... You might not want to go around calling everyone in a newsgroup a pile of feces and then putting your home address out on the internet. You never know who might take that the wrong way. I'll leave finding it as an exercise for the reader. (It's not too hard with any good search engine (Infoseek) and the search keyword "Justin Tribble")
