Question

Fans share real-life situations that remind them of Seinfeld episodes, including people with the same names as characters and everyday mishaps that mirror show scenarios.

Not with names, but the other day at work someone didn't know what the phrase 'my two cents worth' meant. Someone else explained it to her, but then that got garbled up with another conversation on living in a big city. Someone gave the 'two cent' girl advice: don't go there alone. And she misunderstood that to mean that she shouldn't use the phrase "my two cents worth" alone!

As Seinfeld as it could ever be.

It's not a people reference, but this one still makes me laugh. I live in a state called Victoria, in Australia. A couple of years ago we got a new state government, and as a part of "leaving their mark" on the state, they changed the motto on our car number plates. They now read "VICTORIA - THE PLACE TO BE".

Very reminiscent of the episode "The Doll", where Frank sets up a billiard room in his house, and he calls it "The place to be". The new motto was chosen from public submissions. Can't help but think that a Sein fan sent it in as a joke, and the politicians took it from there....

Keep it real, Chris

Well, i know a person from work who's name is George, who looks and has George's personality. its pretty cool. he's George's height, the same type of complection, shaved head bold, a little porky, but more on the muscle man side. and he's black. not that there's any thing wrong with that :). no he's a really cool guy.

I sport a shiny Darwin fish on the back of my car.

Dave (that and a 'Moops!' bumper sticker.)

What is this Darwin fish you speak of?

And "Moops" reminds me, when I play Trivial Pursuit, I have to say at least once a game "I'm sorry, the answer is 'Moops'."

I'm annoying that way, just like when watching a rented movie and the "modified to fit this screen" caption comes on, I *have* to say, evey time, "how did they know I have a 19" screen?"

Sophie, smart and funny, but whiny and annoying. (Does that make me even Steven?)

It looks just like a Jesus fish, but it says Darwin instead. And it has little legs. :-)

I had Kung Pao chicken last night, and I had to say, "George likes his chicken spicy!"

Hehe, that's hilarious! 'Course, that's the first time I've heard it; maybe the humor wears off after several dozen times. :-)

I've got a friend who's last name is Moore. I helped him with his answering machine message.

"Hello, you've reached the Moores. Moops! Moores!! Moops!! Moores!!! *beep*"

The right people get it. :-)

No, just a complete package.

Dave (likes whiny and annoying.)

But it is REALLY from a Jeopardy board game (Canadians don't make those mistakes). BTW Dave and I are the only known Seinfeld fans who have that "Moops" question (I have two - wanna trade for educational purposes?)

Like when I am in a mall with friends and we look at the map and it says, "You are here". I always predictably ask, "How did they know I would be here?"

What are you, a hack?

Dave (the glass is round, the jar is round, they should call it...)

Here's another one I remembered just now; my ex-roommate once found her boyfriend in the living room, in the middle of the night, biting into a big block of cheese.

Which is like when you watch a movie at home and the message comes up before it starts: "This film has been modified from its original version. It has been formatted to fit this screen." The line here is, "How did they format it to this screen? I just rented it a half hour ago." At this point I start looking for bugs on the phone and hidden cameras in my living room.

As bizarre at it sounds, this is the god's honest truth. My grandfather on my mother's side is named Morty and his sister, my great aunt, is named Helen.

Dave (neither of them watch Seinfeld. Pity.)

Well you almost had a real George thing going, until the black part. Oh well.

Well it's weird actually - when I come home, there's usually about 120 people in my living room/kitchen just sitting watching me. Then my hipster doofus neighbour comes in and they start cheering and clapping. It's very confusing.
