Posters debate who would win a hypothetical fight between the Seinfeld gang versus Friends characters, with agreement that Seinfeld characters typically avoid confrontation.

I think Kramer and Ross would probably square off right away...seem to be about the same height, and they both've dabbled in 'martial arts'..it's the "Katra" (sp) vs. the "Unagi"!

Very interesting question. I'd have to say G, J and K would take it. The Seinfeld dynamic tended to be "even if you win, you'll eventually lose," while the Friends dynamic was the opposite, a standard Hollywood cliche, "even if you appear to lose in the short term, you'll win eventually." My guess is that G, J and K would win (of course, George would fight dirty, with Kramer accidentally using a rarely used martial arts maneuver to 'intimately' bruise one of them), but the women passersby (incl. Elaine) would want to 'comfort' the Friends bunch. As per usual, she'd be abandoned by the end of the episode for her association with the guys. (I love JLD, but Elaine's not pretty/shallow enough to be a Friends regular.) That ending would pacify fans of both shows. Any (significant) flaws in that logic?
