"Carlo, it's ME. I'm your cousin, Frank!"

Has anyone noticed that more commercials are being inserted between the intro and credits of some sitcoms? I set my VCR to record exactly 30 minutes. I never had to worry about the VCR being a few minutes off, because an episode would typically end within 25 minutes, with commercials preceeding and trailing it. But with NBC shows like Seinfeld, Frasier, and Friends, I find being off by a minute can cause the ending or beginning to get "clipped."

So, with "The Doll" episode, when Frank goes off to meet his cousin Carlo, my VCR shut off at the point where Frank tells Carlo who he is. Carlo was responding in Italian... did anything else happen?

Good point, Gary. They used to show about 2 or 3 minutes of comercials after one show ended and before the next one started. They probably figured out that that's when people were switching channels so now they go right from the end of one program into the intro for the next, get the viewers hooked, then show the commercials.
