J. Alexander (Greenspan) on Stern Show this morning

His said his real name is Greenspan and there will be NO "reunion" show... ever. He doesn't really like Jerry. Grew up in Livingston NJ and Maplewood NJ. Former babysitter called in. Plugging new indie film he directed ("Just Looking") will preview at Hamptons (L.I., NY) Film Festival. Cheers.

Er, what do you mean "he doesn't really like Jerry." I've heard him say things to the contrary.

Did anyone tape this? I tried listening the most I could this morning but work got in the way.

He mentioned earlier that they have "artistic" differencies. I don't think it is liking or disliking.

Don't think he ever meant to indicate any personal dislike for Jerry...just that he doesn't see a reunion show because of a couple things that are already well known; 1)Jerry himself doesn't want to do it except maybe as a one-shot theatrical or TV film because he thinks the characters went as far as they could go (and Jason agrees with that) 2)Everyone wanted to try something new after nine years together. They do like each other and have an annual reunion planned either on the anniversary of the final episode wrap in April 1998 (as they did this year) or on the anniversary of the last broadcast, May 14.

Jason has also said several times what he really feels about Jerry. He likes Jerry Seinfeld but sees him in real life as a lot like "a very bright and likeable 19 year old." They just don't have that much in common offscreen other than a love for baseball. (You have to remember that Jason Alexander is not a swinging bachelor but a very down to earth and settled-down family man with a wife and kids, and he's very happy in that role--something we all know Jerry has no ambition for.)
