I just read in the newspaper that for the season finale the real George Steinbrenner will make an appearance playing himself. He has apparently already taped his part of the episode

The New York Yankees owner has been portrayed on the sitcom for two seasons as a faceless caricature, visible only from the back. The Seinfeld Steinvrenner has been a fixture since hiring hapless George Costanza (Jason Alexander), who denounced Steinbrenner's quirky management style to his face. Since then, fans have expected George to be fired from the Yankees' organization any day. He'll keep his job now, Steinbrenner hinted. "That George Costanza is a nice guy", Steinbrenner said Wednesday. "It'd be tough to fire him"
