If they do allow ASSMAN (which I doubt) it's probably already taken. Also, ASSMAN, ASS MAN, and ASS-MAN would be considered duplicates because either way the letters are still the same, despite the space and hyphen.

I know of a case were the DMV contacted someone out of the blue and forced them to change their vanity plate from "sh-hpns". kman
