Jerry Seinfeld is pulling the plug.
NBC says 'Seinfeld' will cease production at the end of this TV season.
The star and co-creator says he wants to end the program at a point of strength and have a graceful exit.
Seinfeld tells THE NEW YORK TIMES it's about timing.
Seinfeld is now its ninth season and it's still a top-rated program. AP

I'm 35, so I remember All in the Family and MASH, and have seen the Honeymooners and I Love Lucy in reruns. And of course I've dabbled through the plethora of sitcom-dom from my youth til today.
I've never enjoyed a sitcom as much as Seinfeld. It, along with Twin Peaks, is my favorite (guilty) TV watching.
I do my best not to analyze why the foursome makes me laugh so often or so genuinely; I just am pleased to have found them at all.
I'll be genuinely sad when the season is over. Thank goodness for VCRs, huh? Haha.
Ah well. The end of the show also (surely) means the end of the high traffic here. Of course there will always be some action on ATS, but surely these last weeks will be our salad days. (BIG salad days?)
