No way! Best Elaine moment is a tie between:
1) The episode where she thinks she has rabies and spits the club soda up all over her herself; and
2) The subway episode where they have to bleep her screaming reaction to the subway stalling and the power going out.
My humble opinion.
Nah--my favorite moment is when she had her picture taken for her Christmas card, and the rest of the gang called her "Nip" for the rest of the episode because her nipple was showing in the card. :-) Now THAT'S classic!

I think the best one was when she hadnt eaten for three days to have an ulcer test and then she attacked Newman for the Coffee cake... :)
Greatest Elaine moment came in teh Busboy..she was trying to get rid of that Seattle guy...
In article Evieltte, [email] writes:
I think the best one is when Jerry is going to tell her George is engaged, and he teases her for a long time with some juicy knowledge, and then he says,
"George Costanza is engaged."
And she cocks back, pushes Jerry as hard as she can into the bedroom while screaming, "Get OUT!"
I love that one.

I started laughing to myself the other day and can't get it out of my mind so my fav Elaine moment;
She and Jerry visiting his parents in Florida and she takes too many pain pills because of the back pain caused by the pull out bed. She runs around shouting "Stellllllla".
A quote from one of those Tennesse Williams -- Marlan Brando movies, I think..

Are you sure it wasn't from Rocky with Sylvester Stallone? This makes more sense to me because, as I remember Jerry had a black eye and had to wear big dark sunglasses to cover it up for the reception they went to.
Just wondering Andy

Yeah, that's it. The Rocky about the steamy south where Sly was in New Orleans and spent the entire film in a torn undershirt!
No one has mentioned my all time favorite Elaine scenes:
1) When she and Jerry are on his couch 'contracting' for sex. You know, "sleeping over is optional"!!
2) When she finds out that the Today Sponge is off the market and she goes to every drug store in town to gather what supplies she can. Then, she interviews her (at the time) boyfriend to determine his level of "spongeworthiness"!
Does anyone agree? Bev
Sorry, no...I think #1 was one of the most forced and unfunny moments of the show; #2 isn't to far behind :(... --JLR

Yesss!!!!!!! The today sponge. or indeed when she finally works out the copy for the Himalayan walking shoe ..

I personally like the one where she is trying to get the guy she was living with back to Seattle. But her alarm clock didn't go off and she is in a frenzy trying to get the guy dressed and out the door!

I agree with you on the spongeworthy episode. I am waiting anxiously -- video tape in hand -- for it to be shown again.

Go to the Blockbuster and rent "A Streetcar Named Desire" and report back to us, Andy. That is probably Marlon Brando's most memorable scenes and one of the most famous scenes of all times. Even people who have never seen the movie have seen that particular clip.
Monty
yep.
My favorite is in "The Cigar Store Indian," when Elaine runs in to her subway admirer at chez Costanza. When he gives her the bouquet made from Frank's copy of TV Guide, the look she gives him is absolutely priceless, as is the way she says, "ewww, thanks."
How about the episode where Kramer takes a picture of Elaine for a Xmas card, and she sends them out to all her family and friends, and even to her church. Then she realizes that her nipple is showing in the pic. I loved that one. I would also like to get one of those cards:).

You want a Christmas card? Here's your Christmas card!!
How about the one where Elaine leaves a filthy message on the tape recorder while Jerry uses it to tape his act. (Without telling him). The whole episode, Jerry, George and Kramer keep replaying the tape.
When Elaine finally tells them it was her, they all start giving her the craziest look. (At that point, she just says "Well, I gotta go")
Did anyone else think that was hilarious...
the best elaine moment is when she is rushing to get her houseguest to the airport and she almost beats the van wyck.

I gotta admit the dingo line was pretty good. What made it funnier was the way Elaine kept repeating it.
In case anyone was wondering the line is from the movie "A Cry in the Dark" with Meryl Streep. Its based on the true story of a woman who claims her baby daughter was killed by a wild dog (dingo) while camping in the Australian countryside, and gets put on trial for murder. Not that there was anything funny about that.
and was found guilty - sent to prison,,, then evidence turned up that a dingo had in fact killed her child and she was let go....

This is the episode where George persuaded Jerry to go to a party in Long Island so he can talk to this woman from work he is into. Jerry get's Elaine to go with em, and they don't know anyone there, so decide to make a pact to come to eachother's rescue when the conversations get out o hand or dull. But in short, Elaine is sitting on the couch and this women is going off about her fiancee. "Have you seen my fiancee, anyone seen my fiancee, I"ve lost my fiancee". Elaine then rebuts (cause she is so balsy) "Maybe the dingo ate your baby" (in her lamest Aussi / Meryl Streep accent) it is a classic moment. Another classic moment was last nights (around here anyway) episode where Elaine turns the gay man, and Jerry pulls an elaine when she tells him this. Jerry shoves elaine and "Geeeeet OUT!!". too hilarious.
Well, the dingo comment was classic, of course, but I must add my two cents here for what is my personal favorite Elaine moment. It went something like this:
Elaine: Well, all women have faked it at one time or another.
Jerry: Not with me. I think *I* would know.
Elaine: Well, you didn't!
Jerry: You faked it with me? But the heavy breathing, the moaning, the screaming, the writhing ?
Elaine: Fake, Fake, Fake, Fake!
Even better was the end of the same show, when their friendship appeared to be over because Jerry wanted "another chance... I can make it happen." Elaine: All right, I'll give you half an hour. (Removes coat in strict business-like fashion, walking towards bedroom.)
My favorite moment with Elaine was the last "Get-out!!" push/scream combo she did to Kramer in the Soup Nazi episode! The leading up to it was great, too, in the previous episodes: the Get-Out's!! kept getting louder and harder!
(ps. notice all the exclamation points)
Ang Claxton
How about:
"He took it out......He took IT out......HE TOOK IT OUT"
"Are you SURE"
"Jerry......"

In the end he couldn't do it because George talked about impotence! He blamed it on George too!

I think one of the funniest Elaine moments was when, because she'd had a dreadful night's sleep in a broken cot at Jerry's parents' house, she took mucho valium. When she then attended some event involving Jerry's father, she was whacked out and drunkenly, giddily kept repeating "Stella.... STELLA" (ala Stanley Kowalski) after being introduced to a friend of the Seinfeld's. Hilarious!!!! Hollis

That case was really ugly. Convictions and overturned. Have to ask some Aussies to comment on it.
[email] (Bill Chan) wrote:
I'm not an Aussie, but I've seen the movie in question a couple times. It's called "A Cry in the Dark." It starred Meryl Streep as this woman who goes on a camping trip with her family, and when the baby is left alone for a few minutes in the tent, a dingo comes along and hence the line, "Maybe a dingo ate your baby." She subsequently goes to jail because no one believes the story and they can't find the baby's body. Years later, some hunters are out in the area where the camping expedition had taken place, and they find the baby's sweater. Experts declare that rips in the sweater could only have been made by a dingo. Thus, Streep's character is finally released from prison. Good movie, y'all should rent it sometime.
Tracey
not an aussie but... the childs tattered clothes showed up something like ten years later or so, clearly shredded by a dingo, the mother was then released.
The best scene with Elaine is when she is out of toilet paper, and is next to (unbeknownst to her) Jerry's girlfriend who can't even "spare a square". She had these little socks on that we're so cute. T
The episode where she's frantically trying to get the annoying guy from Seattle to the airport in time for his flight after having overslept.

[Composite Sample Issue]Hot Gossip about HEATHER LOCKLEAR... CINDY CRAWFORD... COURTENEY COX.... TERI HATCHER.... MARCIA CLARK... PAMELA ANDERSON... DAVID SCHWIMMER... TORI SPELLING... PRINCESS DI... GEORGE CLOONEY... SEINFELD ...and many more!
GEORGE CLOONEY paid for NUDE LAP DANCERS at a strip club.(Star) Thoughts: 1) I'm confused. A famous star has to pay for nude women?
2) Do you think it would help if Clooney walked around Rodeo Drive in Hollywood wearing a sandwich board which read, "I'm George Clooney. I'm playing Batman in the next Batman movie. Please, someone, go out with me!"
3) Do you think the lap dancers wore high heels? If so, do you think it could, ahem, hurt when they danced in George's lap?
MADONNA, who used to dated John F. Kennedy Jr., once smeared his body with peanut butter and licked it off.(Star) Thoughts:
2) If Kennedy MADONNA married her and then became President, would Madonna invite the national press club in to watch her lick food off the President's body?
DAVID SCHWIMMER has dumped his long time girlfriend "to enjoy success while he's young and hot." He told her "you're the love of my life. But I need to be free for a while to meet new people and have new experiences."(Enquirer) Thoughts: 1) TRANSLATION: "I'm famous, I'm hot, I WANT TO SLEEP WITH AS MANY WOMEN AS POSSIBLE!!!!"
SEINFELD "popped the question" to SHOSHANNA, who just turned 21.(Star) Thoughts: 1) What do you think the prenuptual agreement will look like? I'm a lawyer (surprise!) and here's one possibility:
I, JERRY SEINFELD, very successful person, and I, SHOSHANNA LONSTEIN, agree that if we ever get divorced, our properties will be divided as follows:
TO JERRY SEINFELD: all cars, houses, boats, bikes, trains, bank accounts, stocks, bonds, money market funds, jewels, kitchen appliances, furniture, and all other possessions, including children and servants, except for
TO SHOSHANNA LONSTEIN: Two battered valises, and her college diplomma (when and if).
TERI HATCHER ("Lois" of "Lois & Clarke") had so many copies of a scantily clad picture of her downloaded on the internet that she recently went on-line to talk to fans.(Star) Thoughts: 1) What do you suppose her fans wanted to talk about? Arts, literature, Nietzche? Do you think it's more like "TERI, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE ARTS, LITERATURE, AND HUMANITIES?" or "TERI, WHEN YOU TAKE A SHOWER, WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN YOU LOOK INTO THE MIRROR?"
The flirtatious MARCIA CLARK once told an opposing lawyer "I'm not wearing [undergarments]!"(Globe) Thoughts: 1) Do you think it's a tactic, to unnerve the opposition? [Marcia and Johnnie Cochran in negotiation.] Clark: Your client is seriously guilty, counselor.
Cochran: You don't know what you're talking about.
Clark. Yes I do.[Touches her trousers] You know, I've got nothing on under here.
Cochran: What????
Clark: You've got nothing on my client!
Cochran: Oh. I thought I heard...
Clark: I like to shower in the morning... with nothing on at all
Cochran: What? Marcia-
Clark: All you'll get is a plea bargain for 50 years to life!
Cochran: Nothing doing! [Looks flustered]
Dershowitz, walking in, slapping Cochran on the face: Get a grip on yourself, man!
Clark, opening a shirt button: Mr.. Dershowitz, so nice of you to join us!
Dershowitz: I'm from Harvard, your feminine wiles will have no effect on me!!!!.......
HEATHER LOCKLEAR felt the need to have her chest enlarged not once but TWICE! (Star). Thoughts. 1) That's nice. But if she wanted to keep adjusting her size, why didn't she just leave a little hole where she could insert an air pump?
2) If Heather ever springs a leak, do you think she would walk around dripping silicone?
COURTNEY COX ("Friends") apparently screams at the other actors on the set and even shoved her stand-in, reducing the poor girl to tears.(Enquirer) Thoughts: 1) So, she abuses young women, eh? And this is just the one case we heard about. It may be the tip of the iceberg. Maybe there are dozens or even hundreds of people, men and women, who have been shoved or even beaten up by Courtney.
WE NEED YOUR HELP We need to pitch in together and help. We need to raise money for a shelter for people battered by Courtney Cox. It would be a shelter where victims of Courtney Cox could seek counseling and volunteers would man a 24-hour a day Courtney Cox abuse hotline. But since it would be located in Beverly Hills, we need $5 million dollars to set it up. Send your donations to
COURTNEY COX BATTERED PERSONS FUND 400 Joan Crawford Drive, Wire Hanger Manor, Hollywood, USA 90210
Do it now. Please, be generous. There's no telling when Courtney may strike again.
TORI SPELLING says that she had a nose job when she was 16.(Star) Thoughts:
1) So she had part of her nose cut off... hm... what exactly does that entail?
2) Do you think she went to the doctor's office, and they showed her a book of noses and told her to "pick one"?
3) What happened to the piece of her nose they cut off? Do you suppose if scientists find it in a million years they can clone some cells and clone a new Tori?
4) Do you think they could clone giant Tori's and put them in TORIASSIC PARK?
When MICHAEL JACKSON went to Brazil to shoot his latest video, he wore a black cloth over his face.(Star) Thoughts: 1) Is the new nose falling off again?
Follow this story: PAMELA ANDERSON took photos of her sexing her husband TOMMY LEE. When they moved out of their house, they left the photos behind, and they subsequently made their way to print.(Star) Thoughts: 1) How does someone just "leave nude photos" of themselves behind?
Pam: "The moving van is ready to go. Did you turn the lights off?"
Tommy: "Check."
Pam: "Gas off?"
Tommy: "Check."
Pam: "Windows locked, doors locked?"
Tommy: "Check."
Pam: "Do we have all the nude pornographic photos?"
Tommy: "Well, I emptied the wall safe, and I also took the bunch from your closet, and then there were the ones I left in the garden. I also took the one you left in the mailbox, and the one I dropped in the fridge, but one or two may have eluded me...."
PRINCESS DI drinks the distilled essences of flowers, walnut shells, and chicory to cure her mood swings.(Examiner)
Thoughts: 1) And does she sprinkle the pulpy dry remainder into her salad for good measure?
2) How does drinking this gunk change her mood? Do you think Princess Di changes her mood when she makes herself throw up?
3) Do you suppose when Di lived at the palace the servants would talk when the royal gardener would find his prize flowers mysteriously disappeared, and then the maid would find flower petals in Di's coffee mug?
CINDY CRAWFORD says that she used to "live on welfare".(Examiner) Thoughts: 1) Cindy, on welfare? If she had been old enough, do you think she could have earned some money by modeling for the homeless?
2) Do you think Cindy now feels some debt to the homeless? Maybe Cindy could run one of her glamorous "House of Style" MTV shows with a homelessness theme. She could call it "Shelter of Style".
4) How come we don't hear Cindy saying more about homelessness? She's willing to pose nude to protect her animal friends. What about people? Or has Richard Gere turned her off to them?
