Fans share Seinfeld quotes they use in daily life, including references to Bob Sacamano's shock treatments, Newman, and broccoli being a vile weed.

Not as much as I used to. I'll still use "that's a shame" and "oh yeah, this can't miss". Otherwise, I kind of scatter it around. Apparently, it gets me in trouble since it got me into some essays from E. Michigan.
When something that might not be good happens, I say "This can't be good for business". Also, if someone says "write off", I like to say "Write off? You don't even know what a write off is."

No other TV show that I can think of has made such an impact on our language and catch phrases. The closest I can think of was "Get Smart". In the 60's everyone would use or recognize phrases like "...would you belive...", "Sorry about that, Chief." "Missed it by 'that' much" "..and loving it." - the shoe phone became an international icon, ...
But NOTHING has pervaded our language like "Seinfeld".

When I phone one of my buddies (a wonderful guy, a great pal ... and more), I don't identify myself, but start right with a "Seinfeld" catch-phrase. "Hellooooooooooo" is way too obvious. But I'll give him something like: "Manya died." Or: "Who told you to put the balm on?" Or: "I'm looking for a tall, lanky doofus with a bird face and hair like the Bride of Frankenstein." Of course, he does the same to me when he calls.

There seem to be a bunch of Seinfeld fans over there (Ian Clarke is one) but actually I posted this to the Costello-l mailing list where there are a couple of hardcores who would spot the reference. If people didn't get a charge out of getting obscure jokes and references and flattering themselves into think they were special, Dennis Miller'd be outta work! :-) Oh, that's right, he is! But seriously, that Meryl Streep comment was pretty funny!

I still have a lot of trouble with this line.
It was used by Craig T. Nelson playing Coach Hayden Fox in "Coach" in 1991 in an episode "A Real Guy's Guy". His star quarterback was GAY and at the end he comes to accept it and says... "Not that there's anything wrong with that."
It is too similar to be a "coincidence" even a small one.
