laughed till I cried

I saw that ep again last night where Kramer goes to the bar to catch he and Jerry's accountant in the act of using coke. This ep blows my mind every time. The scene with kramer and the guy in the bar, the exchange...

Guy: I'm going to the bathroom K: I'm hip. Guy: Hip to what? K: The whole scene.... Guy: What scene?? K: The bathroom scene....

Oh man, and when Kramer starts downing that beer and he still has a smoke in his mouth. Some people don't like physical comedy, don't think it's subtle enough, but I think Richards is excellent at it. That scene truly makes me laugh my ass off every time.

at least we learned the tell-tale signs of drug use:

using a lot of slang using the word "man" when leaving, saying...i'm splittin'

I totally agree. This episode is certainly in my top 10. The best thing about the physical comedy in the bar scene is that it is interspersed with the Jerry/Newman dialogue back in the car. The dental tape vs floss discussion.

I agree! That is a brilliant scene. Kramer putting the cigarette in his mouth backwards and the jerky way he spins it around, him getting konked in the head by the hinged counter...

I remember watching that show for the first time and getting the drug vibe from the way the accountant sniffed before they mentioned it - not that I'm super brilliant or nothin'! It was like the Non-Fat Yogurt episode where I got the impression Jerry was covering weight gain by leaving his shirt tails out - before Kramer mentioned it. They planted the seeds brilliantly.

It is one of the few episodes which you will laugh at uncontrolably no matter how many times you see it. My personal favourite line: I'll have a brewski Charlie. The name's Mitch. Only Michael Richards could pull that off and remain cool afterwards, even after getting hit on head and drinking/smoking simultaneously.
