In one episode (I forget which one), Kramer suggested that he send someone to Australia because that is where the English sent their convicts. Unfortunately for the writers, the English stopped sending convicts to Australia around about 200 years ago (I think about 1798). Mostly the English sent the convicts to Sydney (yeah they have the Olympics in 2000) and to Port Arthur in Tasmania (where, if you haven't heard, was the scene of the worlds largest single handed mass-murder ever with 35 people shot). Anyway getting back to the original point of convicts, Australia is not full of kangaroos hopping the streets and convicts roaming around in ball and chains. If the writers really wanted to send people away, how about New Zealand? All they do is sit around and sexually desire over sheep.
P.S. Has anyone else noticed that everytime two or three of the main characters meet in the street, it is always the same portion of street. Doesn't New York have stacks and stacks of streets in which they could meet?
