Wednesday night Larry David was on the Letterman show and said he only managed to get one sketch on SNL in a year of working there. Does anyone know which sketch it was?
I know he kind of bonded with JLD during the year. The sketch where she and Brad Hall did a take off on Donny and Marie Osmond was hilarious - could that, be any chance, be the one David wrote?

I don't know which sketch he wrote, but he said it was shown during the last five minutes of the show -- which was reserved for skits that weren't considered to be as funny as the others.

According to the book "Live From New York," the sketch was about an architect showing the plans for a building, which included stools for the elevator operators. The architect and foreman got into a disagreement over whether the elevator operators should be sitting on stools. (I believe the edited rerun cut this sketch.) The "Seinfeld" episode where George offers a chair to a clothing store security guard is based on this.
Billy Crystal says Larry David also wrote another sketch about Lew Goldman, an elderly Jewish weatherman. I have seen this one in reruns.
