Jerry and Elaine may agree to get married based on each of their futile attempts to keep a steady relationship after they broke up, but somehow, if this is what happens in the final episode, I think that something will happen to keep them from going through with the marriage.

Give the writers more credit! They are writing a parody of the typical sitcom. The show is the antithesis of all the others. Why would they - or the fans- want such a trite, hackneyed ending. Now if George and Kramer would decide they were gay and run off with each other, or if Elaine decided to marry the Soup Nazi while Jerry joins a Trappist monastery, that would be much better. RD
