I am a dedicated Jerry fan who is new to this system. Here is a question for you all... I absolutly loved seeing all the old clips on the 100th episode special, but there were so many missing (I understand they would have needed hours). Can you think of any important ones they over looked? At the top of my list was George and Jerry as NAzis not even a mention of my favorites "Murphey and O'Brien"

While they did show the falling airconditioning unit, they did NOT include what Kramer said just after he put it in, one of my favorite lines: "12,000 BTUs of raw cooling power...INSTALLED!" Though I've probably gotten the number wrong.
Did it strike anybody as odd that many, if not most, of the clips were funny only in context of what what NOT shown. That is, in order to get the joke, you had to already be familiar with Seinfeld?

No, not at all. A show like that is intended for people already familiar with Seinfeld. It's a celebration/retrospective kind of thing, not an introduction for new viewers. The point is for people to watch and say "Oh, I remember that! That was hilarious."

The fact that so much of the 100th episode wasn't funny at all was my favorite part! Seinfeld has always seemed to have such a cult following even now that it is mainstream that I think it is only fitting to celebrate the 100th episode in a way which only includes those dedicated watchers.
